How to use the component?
Copy this timeline section to your clipboard.
Unable to copy? Sign in, then try again to copy.
Paste it on your canvas and choose the right variant for each breakpoint.
No CMS collection and no code components are needed. The scroll behavior uses native Framer features (sticky position, scroll variant effects, and appear effects), so it works the moment you paste it.
Scroll effects only play in Preview and on the published site.
On the canvas, the cards show their resting Idle state.
Each milestone is an instance of Timeline 2 Milestone. Select one and edit Year, Tag, Title, Description, Stat 1, Stat 2, and their labels in the right panel. The Line toggle shows or hides the rail below the dot.
Every milestone sits inside a Chapter frame (Chapter 1 to 5). Each Chapter has an Element ID and is a scroll section, which the progress panel listens to. Keep these frames when you edit the content.
Timeline 2 Progress has one variant per chapter (Light 1 to 5 and Dark 1 to 5). Edit the year, label, counter, and filled segments inside each variant so the panel matches your milestones.
To add a milestone: duplicate a Chapter frame, give it a new unique Element ID, add a matching variant to Timeline 2 Progress, then add the new chapter to the Scroll Variant list on both progress instances (Progress and Progress Compact).
Desktop: the left column (heading, progress panel, and buttons) is sticky 96px from the top while the milestones scroll. The progress panel switches to the current year as each Chapter scrolls into view.
Each milestone switches from Idle to Active (orange dot, rail, and border) when 60% of it is in view, and rises in with an appear effect. Change the threshold or the animation in the Effects panel of each milestone instance.
Tablet and phone: the left column scrolls normally and a compact progress bar sticks to the top of the timeline above the cards. Phone uses the Compact milestone variants with tighter padding and type.
Nested components: Timeline 2 Milestone (Light and Dark, Idle and Active, plus Compact versions) and Timeline 2 Progress (10 chapter variants with Compact and Wide toggles). Keep them together in your project when you copy the section.
Sticky positioning stops working if a parent frame clips its content. Keep Overflow set to Visible on the frames that contain this section.
